CONGESTION MITIGATION & AIR QUALITY AND RURAL TASK FORCE – PUBLIC HEARING

In accordance with Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act programs using federal and state funds for transportation and transit projects, the Southwest Michigan Planning Commission announces the public meeting for the Cass County Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ) program and Rural Task Force (RTF) Program on Tuesday January 14, 2020, at the Cass County Road Commission, 340 N O’Keefe St, Cassopolis, MI 49031 at 1 PM

The Cass County CMAQ program will review 2020 project and program remaining funds. The purpose of the CMAQ program is to fund projects and programs that contribute directly to attainment or maintenance of the national ambient air quality standards for ozone, carbon monoxide, and particulate matter.

Immediately following the CMAQ meeting, the Cass County Rural Task Force (RTF) will meet to review the status 2020 projects The RTF funds projects on rural federal aid eligible roads (rural county roads or roads in rural cites or villages with a population less than 5,000) and transit capital improvements.
